alright. I've got a TBI 454, w/TH400/205 blah blah. Today it started sort of surging at stop signs, then bogging for a sec when I took off... when I parked, it was at a fairly high idle, compared to when I left this morning.

Please tell me it is something like a vac hose loose or something. The EGR switch has been bad for a while too, if that is the possible cause. Truck has new EGR valve, new MAP sensor. (was getting code 32, only thing not replaced is the EGR vac switch).

I don't have much time to diagnose, so if anyone is familiar w/this problem, help! pleeeease. I'm leaning towards that switch m'self, Google says EGR trouble so far, and I have a new EGR valve.

Thanks fellers, you're all princes. :flipoff2:

Sounds like a vacuum leak. The big block TBI are known for leaks at the base gasket.

EGR or vacuum would be the first two to eliminate. I was amazed at how much difference it made when I changed the vacuum hoses on my Blazer.
