A good option if you want an OD auto would be a 700r-4 from an S10 with a 2.8. :grinpimp: From novak's site:

"Another version, the GM 60 degree pattern version, can be mated to 60 degree style engines, such as those in the 3800, 3.4, and other engine families. These transmissions are fairly rare as they were only produced for a few years in the Chevy S10 and Camaro with the 2.8L V6, prior to GM's upgrade to the 4.3L V6.

These differences only affect the front bell of the case, and all Turbo 700 cases are similar from that point back."

This would be what i would go with, as even if it is rare, an S10 2.8 parts rig would be pretty cheap. Another option is a TF 904 (999?) from an XJ cherokee 2.8 auto.

Any automatic Isuzu from early 90's up through 2002 or so use the 4L30E with the the GM 60 deg V6 bellhousing. Any of them will bolt up to your 2.8. If you've got some more time to put into it, a 700r4 would be a better tranny though. There is also an Isuzu bell that'll bolt a Jeep AW4 up as well.
