We enjoyed another year of friends and fellowship. The trail ride was good for me, bad for most others :D
started easy on a small pile of rocks set up on a by-pass.

Carnage! People started breaking at an alarming rate so I didnt get a lot of action shots because...well, it was slow.
the carnage lists goes as follows:
1 Detroit locker
1 scout D44 27 spline stub
2 19 spline D44 stubs
1 30 spline inner D44 shaft
1 760x u-joint
1 D44 ball joints
I didnt get pics of all the parts but here are the highlights

The first break was the scout stub shaft, which killed the detriot. While the flatty was winching the scout back up the trail(lukes hydraulic mile marker shit itself), he broke the driver side 19 spline stub. Then, while driving in 3 wheel drive, the u-joint crumbled and the yolks fell apart. No body heard it so then, while driving with broken yolks, it forced the knuckle off the ball joints. With some creativity, he was back on the trail in 2wd

it took 12 hours to go 300 yards. Lukas ended up driving a good portion in 2 high, wide open. When you heard him rev up, you RAN! this is the end.

It was fun - Add to the carnage list my rear ring and pinion, and my front short side u-joint....
I hope to follow through the crushers next time

We all really appreciate all your hard work humping parts up and down the hillside.
Sorry about the rearend.guess the front end didn't like 65mph all the way home.couple weeks I'm thinking about going back.maybe we'll warm up on the little loop before we go too deep!

It took some time, but here's what Jeremy snapped, minus a few pictures.
Getting ready to drop into Lower Crushers, and yes the fellow in the orange shirt with the killer legs.....yeah that's me!:flipoff2:

Dan heading down. My little brother is riding shotgun. Thanks again Dan for letting him ride along, he had an awesome time!

Lukas stuck
http://www.binderbulletin.org/photopost/data/581/339Lukas-stuck.jpg
He had been watching Dan follow him down and let his front axle drop into a very large crack in the rock, the housing was completely in the crack.

Now Lukas is stuck and broke. We tried to lift the front end up with a high lift so the housing could clear the crack, but it was a no go, so we went on to step two, using a little height!

The strap is about 20' up.

Weighted for saftey!

And winching, it worked great, picked up the front end enought to let the housing clear and pulled the truck into a position to fix it and let other rigs by. The trail is pretty tough, so we wanted to work the other rigs by, in case there was more breakage. The turn at the bottom can be pretty bad, but everyone made it through.

We moved the rigs up and around Lukas and got them parked in the shade. About the time they figured there was more to Lukas' problem then the stub, I headed out. I had to run some equipment home for IHC-6 and as it turns out resuce a guy from I-5, so it was a good thing I headed out of the woods. Jeremy (my buddy who took the pics) apologizes for lack of variety, I think he has a thing for Dan's truck!!:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Looks like you had a great time. good photos. If you break stuff it just means the wheeling is great.
