I have a 3/4 dodge D44 front under my heep and am getting down to the smaller things and brakes are where i'm at. The problem i'm having is I am using 15 inch wheels so i need to grind down the calipers to fit the rim.
Well on a dodge front there arn't bolts holding the caliper on like on chevys there are these flat clips that hold the caliper in place. I got the calipers all grinded down but these clips are so thin that when i grind/bend them to clear the don't look like they will hold very well. I have made them clear almost but they are now paper thin.
Can i just get a couple chevy caliper brackets and bolt them on and use chevy calipers with the dodge rotor, The spindle sizes are the same right? any reasons it won't work. Or am i making to much out of this? Has anyone ran the clip style setup all grinded down. I guess theres no real forces pushing outwards on tha caliper so the clips may be enough, they just look so puny
thanks for any help or ideas
