Nope...though I was able to get it up to the brim and just grab the fronts on the edges. BUT I was have fuel pump issues and had left my fuel pressure regulator set on 7 (almost full open) so the carb didn't like to be at that angle. Plus some lower gears would have been nice...
The rig normally runs very well at these steep inclines...but I need to do some maintenance to get her back to that...it actually amazes people because they think it is fuel injected.
I am going to give it another shot after I take care of the fuel system.
Binder 07-12-2006, 04:25 PM HOS, your off line a bit there. Remind me to show ya some time.

ogrescout 07-12-2006, 08:33 PM Scouts look good. Post some more specs on them.
Scout21972 07-12-2006, 09:03 PM This is my scout before. It was a bone stock 1972 scout. It had a 345, t727, d20, dana 30 front with drum brakes and a dana44 rear with drums as well. It wheeled pretty well like this for a while till I started doing harder trails.
1997
http://www.binderbulletin.org/photopost/data/501/1101scout_beginning.jpg
This is my scout now. Not much left of theoriginal scout. It has a Gen III 6.0L chevy, TH400HD, NP205, 14 bolt rear with detroit and 4.56s, front is a dana 44HD with a detroit (soon to have a 60) and it sits on 35s. I have some hummer beadlocks that I just need to get recentered then I'll throw them on. It goes everywhere I have needed it to.

wesfab 03-31-2010, 06:53 AM Buck, the boatsides were a quick fix for some serious rot. I cut it just below the door opening and welded a tube of 4x2x3/16 in there. The fenders i cut 1 inch lower than the where i cut the tub, then folded it in to make a lip. Then drilled and tapped two 5/16 holes into the top of the tubes and bolted the fenders to it. The outside of the tub got welded directly to the top of the tube, and the inner rocker got welded to the lower radius of the tube. Disclaimer: I am not a rock crawler, and would not reccomemd depending on these tubes to support the weight of your vehicle without seriously fucking something up.

Lil Green 11-03-2011, 11:41 PM Just bought this the other day. I've always wanted one... We've had an old IH Pickup in the pasture since I was 1. Ran across this one on CL and just couldn't pass it up. It runs a little rich, but so far all I know, is its got a 345, the 4x4 works great, and I've got all the original moldings badging and hubcaps with it. I know my Chevy inside and out, hopefully it won't take long to pick up knowledge on this one.
