Now, put away the flame throwers...I know all about solid axles for crawlin'. But, as I found myself watching the XRRA event from Moab I couldn't help but see a lot of the rigs shown on camera looking really out of place as they tried to go fast over the rocks.
Now, I did not see the whole course, so maybe there is a bunch of 'slow and crawly need lots of down travel stuff' somewhere, but it sure seemed like a desert race truck prerunner style set up might have been faster. Perhaps that can be done with a solid axle...I really don't know....or perhaps a TTB type of thingy.
Just wondering if there finally will be a good reason for independant suspension in a rock racing buggy.
