Erick Larson (elarson) came up with a great idea for helping out with Rubicon work days. If you can't make it up to help, donate your gas/trip money to the cause. Simple!

This is an awesome way to be in the game, helping, even if you can't be there in person. WOW. Thanks Erick. Wonderful idea.

So if you would have spent $50 or $60 in gas to get there, just donate that amount to the cause. You can get a write off by donating it to the Rubicon Trail Foundation (http://www.rubicontrail.org) and even use paypal if you want, or send it to me (no write off) and I'll help me and other folks with gas money. :)

Honestly, gas money always helps. Even in my shoes with BlueRibbon Coalition giving me some travel money, my budget is limited and the Rubicon efforts eat up a lot of the funds. So you can always help this way.

thanks Erick and all of you for helping us to keep the Rubicon alive and well.

I'm not sure what the JN site is...??
As to always looking for bucks for the cause, yup, that's one thing I gotta do because we're so outnumbered by the anti-access folks. For example, BlueRibbon, the biggest outfit we have, is about a million bucks a year operation. The Audubon Society is 700 million. Sierra Club is 40 million alone in CA. Way out numbered and we (wheelers) are pretty tight with the buck sometimes. :)

so yes, I gotta keep trying.

We spend it on our rigs!! :)

Those other organizations....a good pair of boots....rest into the WAR CHEST!

Hopefully those numbers will wake people up....1 MILLION vs. 40 and 700 Million.
