so yeah my dad is looking into building up his jeep LJ. I told him he should put on a rubicon express 5.5 but a buddy of mine said to hold off with that company and find a better suspension anyone know a great suspension company that will drive well and flex well it will still be his daily driver as well?

what else do you plan on running? tire size, gears, etc. that will go with how tall and what lift you should get
there would be no sense in getting a huge long arm kit if you aren't going to run 35 to 37 tall tires. that also wouldn't make sense if you aren't going to regear or upgrade the axles for those tires
RE makes a pretty good "kit" as far as suspensions go. Yes there are better but they will require more welding.
You need to define what you want to run before deciding on a lift. All of a sudden a $2000 lift kit is going to cost $5000 because you want to run bigger tires and are going to need new gears. No all of a sudden since you are gearing, a locker is being put in, etc. Depending on what you do with the LJ, you may be better off spending money on armor, winch, perhaps a locker, and sway bar disconnects.

X2. There are plenty of companies out there. He needs to check out different brands and see what he likes before jumping in. Plan it right so you build it once. good luck.

First take your budget, subtract the tires you want to run (hopefully nothing bigger than a 32" unless you want to subtract another 1K from your budget for gears) then you have the dollars for your lift. Don't do this the other way around because you will end up with a high rider on stock tires which will look:rainbow: and not perform very well
