Whe installing the big outer C-clip in the hub of a Dana 44 (the hidden clip) does that little notch in the c-clip face into the hub or out? You know what I'm talking about, there's that little groove going all the way around the c-clip on one side of it.

It can only go in one way.
Just push it inside the hub and work it around until it pops into the groove.
