I've got a Loadstar 1700 with a 392 that I'm looking to swap for a 6.9 diesel.

I need the SAE bellhousing that IHC made for the 6.9/7.3; so that I can bolt up to the 5-spd in the truck. Hopefully cheap too... :D This is kind of a low-budget project...

If you've got one, or know where one is, please post to this thread.

thanks much!

Check the MD/HD truck yards. Go at closing time and bring  to get a better deal. Another source is U-Haul S1600 trucks. The one I drove had a 7.3 and a Spicer 3052 or 3053 five speed. I spent a good amount of time staring at that tranny, along with the SAE#3 flywheel housing and clutch cover assembly. Don't think that theft didn't cross my mind... :flipoff2:

:D :D :D

yup....it'd be tempting....best not to carry a wrench in the pocket.... :D

no MD/HD yards in the area; otherwise yeah, that's the likeliest place to get one.
