I'm getting ready to herculine the inside of my CJ tub, and been wondering what to do with the bolt holes that I may never use again. I.E. seat mounds and seatbelt holes and a few other threaded holes. I hate to weld them up Just in case I ever need them again. I thought about puting tape on the bottom side of them and just let the liner fill them, them if I do ever need them I can drill out the liner and clean the threads with a tap. Or could I? Any other ideals? Thanks.

Why not just fill the holes with tape before you lay down the herculiner. When your done, take out the tape and put bolts in the holes. That way they will always be there if you need to reuse them.

If the holes are small enough, foam earplugs work great to protect the threads when welding or painting.

I used fiberglass since if I ever need them again, which I never will, I'll redrill and use better hardware.
Herculiner is great. :)
I just took some masking tape, twisted it together and shoved it in the hole. when I used a knife and pulled them back out.
work ok.

I just put little rubber gromets in the bed of my xj then i pulled em back out. plus it made it great for getting the bolt headsa down to the bottom of the floor plan against the metal. they are kinda tight.
