well lets see... i pulled out my tranny finally, took the front half apart to see what caused its demise, come to find out that the torque converter took a shit on me, the shaft was discolored, and the splines it rests on are kinda chewed up. found out that it fawked up because of some dowls (sp?) that are supposed to go inside the 2 bottom holes in the tranny to connect to the engine were gone, so the tranny/ torque converter just twisted and wobbled its self till it blew up...

so a new torque converter and maybe the spline unit (dont know what its called) along with some new bushings and seals, and i should be good to go.

other than that it was the usual BS of the weekend...

Pulled my Scout out into the street, turned it around, backed it into the garage, thought I'd install my new bumper... Then I looked at the thermometer. 125 degrees in my garage...time to go in the pool.

I started out by dragging a 97 HP balljoint 60, a almost perfect scout rallye steering wheel, and a western snowplow pump home for 60 bucks:grinpimp:

Found a 78 SII with 65K and I believe a 345/727 in the boneyard

The rest of the weekend has been dealing with way too many issues with too many high maintence wimmins.

Spent saturday driving around setting up side jobs. 1 full cage and possibly 2 diff set ups and another cage if the first cage goes good. Saturday night was the hubbard hop festival. Buddies wife was bar tending so I drank for free:D :smokin:

Today I shook off last night and put some time in at work. Napped.

Still waiting to get into my new house. Glad the scouts done cuz i'm not gonna have any money to do shit when that starts.

Friday Night- One great BBQ at IHC-6's house. Had a great time with family and friends, all getting together for the hell of it. Typically somethin like this would be centered around a meeting or some club function, but this was just for the shear fun, and well worth it. I could not believe the amount of food we had, enough to feed twice the people. I ate till I could eat no more, infact the following day I didn't eat anything till about 4 in the afternoon when I got hungry again. Now that's the sign of a good BBQ. IT wasn't without it's work though. My Scout had some funny electrical problem and once we finally got it started the lights went out. With some fiddling and a jumper wire they came back on and I made it home okay.

Saturday - I SLEPT IN!! For me this is a big deal, I can't remember the last time I got up without an alarm:D:D!! Went with some help and picked up the Pool Table my roomate just bought. Came home and put it right square in the dining room. The bachelor pad is complete:grinpimp:! Now I just need to figure out some mad chick skills! My buddy was up from Corvallis and free from the new baby for a few hours so we went and saw Pirates. Great flick, then too the billard's store for some new cues. Various friends and family stopped by and finally got around to trouble shooting my Scout. My roomate was out giving me a hand and found a lack on continuity between the cable clamp and the battery post. I pulled it off and found a bunch of corrosion. Cleaned it up and all is well.

Sunday - I SLEPT IN AGAIN!!! Grocery shopping.....I hate grocery shopping. NASCAR then over to the parents to pick up some stuff I had left in their camper from Binder Bee. Chatted with Dad a bit as Mom was at my Sister's baby shower, I stil can't believe I am going to be an uncle.

Anyhow, busy weekend with about 1000 racks of pool thrown in. I still suck, but am getting better. Not sure what I am going to do next weekend, probably clean out the garage.

***Caution Sucky News to Follow***

Dan and I had to make a tought desicion last week in regaurds to Goldendale. With him looking at getting into a house he didn't know where or when he would need to be in the area to sign papers or what not. Also with the cost of preping, competing, fuel, camping, food and buying the needed spares we just didn't see it happening for us this year. We are both not very happy about having to make this responsible desicion, but we both knew going into this season we needed to start maning up and getting our lives in order. I have been considering trying to get up to spectate, but it would have to be Sunday as I already have plans for Saturday. Goldendale is what started this insanity and it's sad to miss it this year.:(

Sorry to hear about your wife. We will know your hard core when we see a IH emblem on it.:p

Busted ass on several fronts. My 14 bolt disk brackets arrived from Ruffstuff, Got everything busted down and changed over, but figured out they sent me their shorty version in which you have to make the rotors 5/16 smaller in dia.:mad3:
Dan's on vacation and the other guy did not realize there were two types. He said it might be a week or more before I get my parts. My brake lines did not arrive either, was told 10 days ago they would be here before the weekend.
Bitch Bitch Bitch. Made some custom spring hangers for the rear springs. Got my fender back on ( It's been off since I bought the Scout, now the door is off:shaking: )
Re-worked the rear spring pack, put in a cut down overload to help with spring wrap. I guess this kept me busy since I got no brake parts. Put the rodded out Radiator in and started the engine.:D

SAT- worked on preping the scout for the fuel cell :smokin:
...... Twisted my ankle by getting my right foot stuck in the door jam and falling backwards..... :skull:
...... Swollen ankles are a bitch when you are climbing in and out of lifted truck all day.

SUN- limped around and tried to finish the extra fuel setup. Worked on the K30 tow rig instead. Built some mounts to weld to the frame for my gooseneck plate.:bounce2:

Had ppl over for a BBQ, Drank homebrew, decided to test my rig after the Detroit was moved up front and a spool in the rear.

Got stuck due to Tranny slipping...got pulled out by a Jeep::rolleyes: My Brother in his XJ cleared it after a couple attempts, so I was forced to try it again....cleared it easy and did it again to rub his face in it:D Decided to stop before the cops showed up.

Drank more beer.

Missing RMIHR due to work

FRI: BBQ with some IH dudes in Woodburn.

SAT: Hiking around on the South side of Mt. St. Helens and a BBQ in Woodland.

SUN: Slept off the 2 nights of BBQ'ing. Worked on my Scout for a few hours. Pulled the radiator, looked at the PS box, looked at some other stuff. Rewelded some cage joints...

Man, 125??! I turn on the AC in the shop long before it hits 125... :flipoff2:

Spent most of the weekend with my new baby girl (thanks, everyone!) - she came home Friday night to a house that still had 3-weeks of getting ready planned.. so I was a little busy for a bit. :)

Sunday I actually made it out to the shop. Cleaned up some, pulled my MTD rider inside to replace the mower deck belt I broke two weeks ago, looked at Todd's half-cab's missing floor..

Called on an Astro van in the paper and ran off to go get some parts from it. A C-note netted another throttle body, full wiring harness, fuel lines, 7747 ECM (4.3 netres), and a few other tid bits.

I hadn't been looking too hard for more EFI stuff yet, but what the heck.

UPS dropped off my new SwayAway 7/8-16" shaft.. only took them about 6 months to get it to me.. so now I can think about rebuilding the 2.5x16s.

Also got the rest of the TBI parts from RockAuto that I needed to call one pile of parts "complete" (and that was before the Astro find).. now to go over Bill's wiring notes and start thinning the F-body harness I have.

Might get my trail rig injected yet.

Gotta order steel for an RTI ramp and some 1.125x.219 DOM for the new tie-rod/draglink on the trail rig today.

Judging :D :flipoff2: :D

Lets see, this weekend I laid 120' of 4" perf pipe, shoveled 1.5 yards of drain rock over it, moved, placed and leveled 8 dumptrucks worth of fill.

In the next couple ofdays I get to look forward to 6 yards of sand and 36-48+ yards of top soil.... and then Hydro-seeding :bounce: :bounce2:

Heck, I might just finish this yard someday. Then I can get back to IH projects.

wired up half my stereo, put rug in the truck to cover up the crappy looking herc, put in a new rad which has it running 20* cooler than ever before:cool2: , and started re-doing my exhaust. should have the exhaust done by tuesday, possibly tonight.

also did a first coat on my fiberglass half doors for my ss2 inserts, need to do a second coat and then install them. also made quick release pins for the half doors so i can switch from half door to full canvas in <5 minutes:smokin: i'll post pics when finished.

OK.... I decided I had to do something this weekend last night at about 11:00pm I decided it had cooled down enough to do a little work on the fat-ass. Pulled the remaining hub/drum off and pressed the studs out to remove the drum. Tried to take the backing plate off but the bolts were frozen and without the axle mounted, I needed the impact to take them off. Didn't want to disturb the neighborhood, so I waited till this evening to pull that off. Now I need to go get my SRW 14b out of storage and repeat the whole process so I can swap the hubs.

Last Wednesday I talked to my friend in Ohio. He works at NASA's Plum Brook station (http://www.nasa.gov/centers/glenn/testfacilities/plumbrook.html) and tells me that my resume is at the top of the pile right now. :D

Friday me and four other guys packed up the Jeep and drove 600 miles to Pennsylvania for a big (sort of ) game. Last year's event was bigger but the game sucked, too many rules, so not as many people showed up this year. This year was a better game. (9 hours long) It was hotter than hell but we all still had a good time.

Came home to a happy dog and more bad news about my dad. I thought I could take anything, do anything, but this I can't take and don't want to do.

Sunday up at Comstock Rock it was rumored the heat index was about 125. It felt like a blast furnace with the 15-20 mph winds out of the south.

Swayaway's are the bastard child of the dez scene, BTW. I dont know of any racers that have been happy with theirs. Customer service is sub par at best.

They still beat the hell out of the old rs9000 though:D

Kings would be nice, but not in the budget, and Fox's are also a little spendier.

A pair of 2.5x16 threaded body remote reservoirs only set me back $300 - one had a bent shaft, but the seller provided a new shaft.. well.. ordered one from SAW for me.. ;)

My smooth-body 2" Bilsteins were more than $350 for a pair, and I can't put coils on 'em.
