Does a tracbar have to be dirrectly above the axle?Could you mount one a little bit back or forth?Like an inch or two?

No reason it can't be. Only thing to be concerned with is the torsional force put on the welds of the brackets. Since the traction bar would be offset of the axle, more of the twisting force is applied to the bracket where it is welded to the axle. Just use thick metal, and good welds.

Well the plan is to use the stock upper diff bolts for one half of the diff bracket. And weld on the other half. The thing is I can't run it straight will the axle.I will have to go towards the back a little. To clear the bump stop. This is going on a leaf spring SOA,no SR.

I would disagree...if it isn't paralell with the axle it is going to try to rotate the axle on compression or extension, changing your caster as you drive as well as placing a lot of stress on the joint/mount. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong

Not worried about compression.I only have about 1" till the bump stop. The stop does compress about maybee 2" also.Don't think it would change the caster. Will have a Heim joint on the diff side.I was going to go with a bushing on the frame side. But maybee It should be a heim also.
