95 YJ, 4cyl, Manual box .Bolt on the D side that goes through the skid plate and is next to the trans mount. I have been told it's a torque arm and a T-Case mount. The (bottom) nut was missing when I got it and the bolt is trashed. I need to replace it so I need to know what it is. THNX

It is a torque arm T-Case/transmission mount. Fix it or you will be replaceing all your motor/transmission mounts soon if they aren't broke already.

Do they sell the whole thing or do I just use threaded rod. Are the bushings suposed to be tappered or is it just because there bad? I looked at a buddy's jeep and his were tappered also.

ThNX for the info OGF

Do not use threaded rod. All the parts are available stock and aftermarket poly bushings will tighten it up (a good thing).:shaking:

The replacement part is right around $5 at the dealership.

The stud limits how much your drivetrain can twist under torque load. It's supposed to allow your drivetrain to twist some, but not so much that bushings get torn up. The bushings are supposed to be tapered and relatively loose in the mount.

Not too bad, $6.00 for the stud but they wanted $4.00ea for the nuts:eek: !! They have to order it from LA so I'll make it a weekend project. I'll probably replace the trans mount while I'm at it.

Thanks again for the great input.

Just buy nyloks at the hardware store. I don't remember anything special about them.
