I have a friend that went from 33" boggers to 35" x terrains on his TJ and he really likes them, better than the boggers, but thats his opinion, not mine, I would rather by some bigger TSL's for the same money.
They make 36" x-terrains? Since when?

2 ply sidewalls? :nuke: no thanks. Get some Swampers! nothing wrong with a nice set of boggers, either, for that matter.

nothing wrong with em up there ..down here they suck
BTW the 35 mud type procomps seem to work REAL good...
on identicle toyotas the 35's smoked the 36 ssr swamper on the rocks..
BUT they ain't x terrains and I dunno about sidewall strenght...
anyone else?
Personally I would like to be able to groove and try a set of x terrains (although I hate everything else procrap makes besides tires)

For streetable mud/rock tire just go with the MTR. Stronger sidewall/proven to stick to rocks/decent mud performance.

I think the sidewalls are pretty tough. I sent my junk over a big hill once, it stuffed the right front hard enough to bend the frame, shear the axle locater pin, and make a huge impression in the passenger footwell. This tire was still up. The left was off the beads with the sidewall mushed between the rim and a large rock. It took one plug to seal it. I had it looked at when I got home, said it was fine and I had him put a patch on the inside. Still on the rig.
**it was upside down at some point (nobody was able to see it) but landed upright and running! It was a little tricky driving it out in 4-hi and the windshield smashed.:D :D
