I'm getting ready to do an engine/tranny swap in my jeep, and am going to put in a new clutch at the same time (sm-465 transmission). What's everyone's opinons on clutches? Brands? Materals? Jeep will mostly be a daily driver, with some light-moderate wheeling.

Thanks

May I suggest a Luk as posted above. I have trashed others b4, even behind my I6. The diaphram Luk has done me well.

As posted on in other post about "what clutch to use".
Be sure it is a diaphram and not typical 3-finger pressure plate.

that will work. do you know roughly what a complete set (including the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, bearing) runs?

A flywheel is not part of the set, it is seperate.

The clutch is in the $300 range IIRC, but I have a personal hookup so I didn't pay that.

Flywheel is $70 or so, make sure you get the right one for your engine.
