i heard that this combo can be done.
does any body have fact/tech article/pics on it?
does anybody have an exp. view of the 241?

I assume you mean using the 241 planetary to build a crawler box. Here is a good link. I have one done, and am almost finished with another. It is easier to build a new housing if you have a mill and a lathe.

now here is a thought -
take the SYE kit to the 241 and gain 6 inches.
put another 231 in front of your 241 and you lose 6 inches.
which means that you get anothe t case without losins an inch....

The SYE kits only gain you 4 inchs. The box is 6 1/4" long. The rear drive shaft will need to be shortened about 2 inchs, and the front lenghtened about the same. I tried everything I could to make mine shorter, but it is impossible without custom internal parts. I will post a couple of pics when I am done with the new one and I figure out how to post them.
