Sneak peak at Jayson's test run this weekend. We took his truck out and gave it a 'easy' first test. :D :D
We only had a few hours, but he's now the first Samurai to climb the RIGHT SIDE of the waterfall! That's something that 1/2 the guys at the recent 44 run would not attempt or could not accomplish!!! :)
I'll post more pics in the morning... But here's a preview:

Ok, here's the link to the pics I posted in our Tech section this morning.
http://www.extreme4wheelin.com/tech/jayson_rebuild/pictures.htm
This is probably a repeat for most people, but here's the specs on his truck:
4.3L V6
Turbo 350
Dual case - 203 & Dana 300 (twin stick)
Toyota axles - front hybrid (Dana 44 outers), rear extened & trussed (~65" WMS WMS)
36" TSL Radials (for now :) )
95" Wheelbase
Rear 3 link, Front wristed arm ('y-link').
225lb springs on front, 150lb on rear.
The truck worked great. The rear is a little light, he got nervious a couple times when the rear tire got WAY up in the air. Once he gets a tool box, cooler, etc back there it should calm down.
It's sweet! :D :D

We tested out a new transport idea that we are going to use for the trip to Moab in a few weeks....
Maybe I should sell my trailer and buy a flatbed. :) It worked sweet. :D

You know if those were Sami's instead of Heaps, you could have gotten both on the back of that Ford.... :D :D

so how is the lbl off-road area? i am origonally from jackson tn and my parents still live there. i usually go bow hunting in lbl every year with my dad so i know where it is. i will be hauling my jeep to tellico the first week of june and then i'll be in jackson for a week so i was wondering if it would be worth the trip?

It's a lot of fun up there. As long as long, loose rock hillclimbs and descents are your idea of fun. ;)
