What’s the advantage of using roller rockers in my engine? I’m stroking the 4.0 and don’t really know if they are worth the 650 clams. What’s the benefit, and about how much does balancing an engine cost and is that worth it?

No they are not worth $650. They help reduce drag so they free up a few ponys but not $650 worth. The balance job for my 4.3 v6 I am doing is going to cost $165 and I feel it is worth it for sure.

They are also nicer to your valve guides, but I dont know about 650 worth. Also, if they are full roller and not just roller tip, dont expect to get the same amount of runtime out of them, they will wear out faster. I'm with Dean, a balance job for a lost less money will do the motor a bunch more good.

$650 for 10-15 hp!  Spend your money elsewere, you'll get more bang for your buck. :D

It really depends on what kind you get for the hp gains. I bought staggered 1.5 and 1.6 for my LT1 in my Impala. Most of the guys were getting 25 rear wheel dyno hp out of this. I only paid $310 delivered for them. Maybe you should look around more for a better price if you really want them.

Full Roller rockers are a great idea on any engine BUT, not for $650. Definetly spend the money on balancing your engine. $300 for a full set of rockers would be much more tempting but not at $650.
