Hello guys. I'm looking into buying new steelies for my CJ and was curious what y'all's opinions were on the subject (I've got narrow track axles). If I understand correctly, the stock wheels have 3.75" of backspacing. Once I start gong less than that, I'll be in the 2-3 inch range. Is this alright or should I just go with spacers and where can I find wheels with that kind of backspacing reasonably priced?

It's tough to find wheels with less backspacing than that(usually special order or custom). Spacers will be cheaper and just as strong. Check the vendors section, you can get them for about $80 a pair.

Ebay 65$ a pair, and get the deep acorns to go with them.

We did 1.5's to clear 33 x 14.5 boggers on one CJ, and 1.25's to clear 33 x 12.5 on another. Both with 3.75 backsapaced steelies.
