1) Anybody know of a somewhat easy way to mount two "factory" GM saginaw pumps(the ones with the resoviors built on)onto a Small block? On my setup it needs to go on the passenger side. I figure this will keep the rear steering separate from the front which is somewhat needed.
2) When you guys are setting these up, do you use the full steering travel of the axle? It doesn't need to turn that much to give you the steering benefit you need. A lot of people say they are so hard to get used to because of how it swings so quickly, Im thinking maybe run a ram with 1/2 the travel as your front to maybe make the system more user friendly?

First let me say that I have no first hand experience with rear steering setups. For your first question I would think about an electric pump for the rear steering. Easier to setup and it wouldnt
have to run all the time. If you really want to use a stock type pump, just fab up some brackets.
For questin number two, I would use the same ram that you have on the front. That way you have the full throw of you ever need it;) doesn't mean you always have to use it. I also figure that if you're in a spot that requires rear steer, you want the rear end to come around as fast as you can get it too:D Hope this makes some sence...

the easy way is to use the A/C place in the brackets. needs some
adapting and custom fabing of the mount. this is how it goes in the frog.
as i posted in the other thread where we discussed rear steering, it is indeed a good thing to have two separate steering systems.
i hope you are not going to use the pumps small reservoir on top -this will not do. you have to have two additional reservoirs, one for each system, which will hold at least 1/2 gallon of p.s. fluid each. otherwise the p.s. will boil. another good thing would be to use two p.s. coolers.

i think doing so will be a mistake.
indeed the impact of rear steering is significant and it kind'a throws your a$$ away, but this is something you get used to. actually, it's like driving a forklift - once you get used to it, it's yours and you know how to play with it.
you need the FULL travel for tight spots and for many difficult situations. for example, if you're riding along a steep slope to one of your sides, you dont have to go back and forth untill you can start descending it facing the slope, but you can just turn into the slope and your rear part slides easily to the opposite direction with no fear of rollover.
it takes some learning. it took me about 7-8 hours of driving to figure it out, but once i did, i'd never give it up or change the full ram's travel. in fact, you can use the ram as you wish, 1/2, 1/3 travel or whatever; but, there is no justification to loose the rest of the travel, so you would'nt be able to use it even if you wanted to.
in fact, if you'd ask me what is the single most important thing i did with the frog, the answer would be the rear steer and absolutly with FULL ram travel.
about swinging quickly - if you remember that thread about hydro steering, i recommended a big diameter bore(2.5-3") and eveerybody said no, go max for the 2".
the wider the bore the slower the ram, and if you go wider you would'nt have to worry about quick swinging and the wheels will be much steadier and would not move from hitting objects.
sorry for the long speech - just sharing what i think would be an important info.
