I have a 1970 bronco sport and I am pretty sure it has a dana 30 front axle. Is there any distinct way that I can tell if it is a dana 30 or a d44. I think that ford came out with the d44 in 71 1/2 but im not sure. Thanks a lot:D

not as easy to do by covers for an EB, the dana 30 in EB's has a cover that looks like a dana 44. The easiest way is look at the top of the steering knuckles, if it has one big nut (ball joint), it's a dana 44, if it has 4 small bolts on top (kingpin), it's a dana 30

no probelem, that's what I figured, and why I put out a bit of EB specific knowledge...If you get that CJ built we'll have to go wheeling sometime, I'll be in Vallejo all summer, and working on east 2nd in benicia, out in the industrial park...
