its a mid 80's Ford 250 single rear wheel w/ the diesel... the reason i am asking is i can get the truck for dirt cheap and i would take the axles and scrap the rest

I think the front is a TTB D50, but the rear is probably a Sterling 10.25

F250s came with either a ttb 44 8lug or the ttb 50, both with leaf springs. Depending on the year of the truck, it could have a semi or full floating 60 rear or the full float 10.25.

If it's a 250HD it could have the D70U rear axle.

ok so i went and looked at the truck today and its def. that weird-ass d50 TTB thing in the front , its like a cross between solid axle and IFS... the rear appears to be a D60, def. not the sterling, so i'm gunna see how much he wants for it..... another question, anyone have any idea how much i could sell a working hydrolic dump bed off that thing for???

jew the price down so low he is paying you to take it away. rip the cab axle, motor, tranny, clip, gas tanks, and any thing else off of the frame. cut, bend, weld untill you have a trailer tounge, hook the hydro stuff back up to a battery and reregister as trailer.

beep.

incorrect. F350s had them from 80-85, until they switched to Dana 60s.

depending on the GWVR, the F250 could have received either. any F250 with a GWVR of 8600 or lower had the dana 44. anything higher than 8600 had Dana 50s.

of course, there will always be exceptions, ie plow packages, special order, etc.

most extended cab F250s have Dana 50s, they are weighted ~8800lbs.
