yeah 1ton73K5 emailed Steve and got an e-mail back saying that the server had a power shortage or something like that so basically it got unplugged. ;)

your way off base, I have only 12 post here and have looked on this site a handfull of times, I did just become a vendor/member. there is more flaming and drama here then I can shake a stick at. at ck5 you get some drama from time to time in the lounge but its squashed real quick usually. this place is a bitch fest if there ever was one.

and if you did not notice there IS a major heat wave across the country right now so its not unusual for things to go down from power outage. here in LA in was 85 deg by 10 am. underground electrical fire happened from major power usage too.

The same thing happened once when there was a power outage some where (LA I believe) I can't recall how long it was down for.

It was officially 111 here yesterday, and it is supposed to be 108 at least today. My local thermometer read 113 yesterday. It is already in the high 80's. Last night at midnight it was 90 degrees. No power outages yet, but this morning there was a flicker for about 10 seconds. All the clocks now have to be reset and the cable TV boxes weirded out. I may take the chilluns over to Chinatown in SF since it is only supposed to be 84 there. Never thought I'd have a desire to go to SF, but it is the only cool place in the bay area. Yo would also think that the power outage would be over by now. I wonder if they lost data......

Of course the Lounge on CK5 is going to have a lot of smack talking, it is a lounge after all. Pirate has more than its share in the General Chit-Chat. In fact, if you don't have kevlar chonies on, and you post something stupid, Katie bar the door. Pirate has always had a rep of no holds barred flames. On CK5 if you disagree, and you aren't in the majority, then you tend to get ganged up on. It is no different here. The only difference is that people here can cuss and get a lot more graphic about it without a mod stepping in. Pirate tends to self-regulate more as the mods seem to be lower key. Thus, if you are in the majority here, you have more folks backing your play. If you are in the minority, you just get to swear and curse and then decide if you want to stay and play. On CK5 it seems that there is a certain environment that the owner and mods want and they are active in enforcing it. On Pirate it is looser and the atmosphere is broader with varied viewpoints. I see kind of a conservative bent on CK5, but on Pirate the political range is all over the board.

Everything works now. I just had to clear out the cache. It had the messed up ck5 stored. As soon as I did that it worked for Firefox again.
