There will be more info coming soon, like point breakouts by obstacle.
Daless2 04-22-2002, 09:08 AM Hey bigdude - Kevin,
You and Buddy did great this past weekend. I was a pleasure to meet you in person.
While I now know first hand why you received the nick name "bigdude" - You Are A Big Dude, you are also a great example of how "Brains can control the muscle too".
You did a great job of spotting Buddy!
Well done my friend,
Frank
Ahhh... Nice to see people I know personaly competing in these events :cool2:
Looks like Rocy @ EOR did a pretty good job :)
bigdude 04-22-2002, 09:40 AM Thanks Frank, I had a great time. We were very happy for our 1st competition with a pretty much un-proven Jeep.
Buddy has put his heart into building that vehicle to perform while still trying to keep it all Jeep. I think he did a greta job, full-bodied, stock suspension set-up, a little longer (team 106- get it, 106" WB), but it worked well enough to hang with the big boys.
If we wouldn't have broke on 2 of the last three obstacles I think we might've sqeaked out 4th.
We had 77 points through 9 obstacles and then got 108 points on the last 3 due to two point out from breakage and running one half assed with 3wd.
I think I actually like spotting in competition as much as I would driving, it's just as much of a rush. If I put him in the wrong place he's screwed, I like that pressure:D , makes it real exciting
BornInAJeep 04-22-2002, 02:26 PM not only did we come in last place, but they spelled my name wrong.

Let me know what is spelled incorrectly and I will fix it. That information is pulled directly from the form the competitors fill out online, so the person who filled out the form spelled it wrong.

Should be Feher, not Faher
Steffey filled out the application.
not really a big deal
BTW, great event.
TrailKeeper 04-22-2002, 04:56 PM Dustin,
Your name is corrected now, please give Rob some hell about that one. Glad you liked the event and I look forward to seeing you guys at the next one.
Also, let Rob know he won the people's choice award at the show & shine. He won a plaque, a box of Eagle One products, a Valvoline hat and die-cast NASCAR car. I will ship it to him.
See you in June!
Tim
PS - There is now a damage report by obstacle on the scoring link at the top of this thread. Grady's Hill won the competition with 5 broken parts.
patooyee 04-22-2002, 06:05 PM I would like to give full props to The Trailkeepers Foundation! That event was amazingly organized and really hard core! Ya'll did the best job of any event I have ever been to! Congratulations on a job more than well done!

RockYJ 04-22-2002, 07:18 PM We had a great time @ ERoCC. We placed 7th in our 1st comp. We 0'ed Grady's Gap and Andy's Crack. The event flowed well and obstacles were challenging.
I need to say thanks to BAJG for letting me borrow a rear driveshaft slip yoke. We broke 1 on Lil Cus on Sat. We put in the spare and broke it Sunday on Grady's Hill. I had 2 obstacles left and no part to fix it. Rob came through and took his slip yoke off the truck and let me borrow it. I APPRECIATE IT.
We will be back in June for round 2. Rocky
Daless2 04-22-2002, 08:40 PM Hey TrailKeeper - Tim,
I wanted to complement you and all the rest of the volunteers who ran the EROCC Event. You folks did a first class job of it. I would think if you had not advertised this as the FIRST ERoCC most folks would have thought you managed many an event like this.
I have no doubts this will grow much larger and there will be many more successes. All who attended, participated or just watched had a great time.
Perhaps we will get a chance to meet up sometime though our mutual friends, Wayne H and Darrel M.
Well Done!
Frank
mudpup 04-22-2002, 08:48 PM Hey Rocky, you guys did a SWEET job all day, I already regret not staying for sunday.
The event was definitely a blast, the only thing for me (as a spectator) was to maybe consider having fewer groups of more vehicles. This way the spectators get to see alot more, I know it means more sitting around for the drivers but maybe there is happy medium. Anyways, see you guys in June.

I would agree about maybe a larger group. It was hot and the spotter/drivers were working hard. if the groups were a little larger maybe we would've had some time to take a break and get a drink. Honestly on Staurday I don't think we stopped for more than 20 minutes. it was one after another and we were wiped out by our 9th obstacle.
Still we loved the event, you guys had some awesome obstacles

Shannon 04-23-2002, 05:31 PM I would like to add my thanks and say big kudos to the ERoCC guys! They did a bang-up job and we had a blast! Definately plan on being back.
We'll have a full write-up on the event up on www.bronco.com in the next couple of days.
Again, great job and excellent competition.

TrailKeeper 04-23-2002, 09:43 PM In addition to the damage report, you can now look at the competitor's detailed results, and also view the results broken down by obstacle to see what team did the best on what obstacle, and which obstacles were the most difficult.

More pictures coming soon!
