Can you take a pic of the Jasper? Never heard of this name for a posi unit.

probably just a junk ass gov bomb, "rebuilt" by Jasper. they're known for taking engines, trannys, and axles, just fixing what is broken, and selling it (at a higher cost than most rebuilders) as "rebuilt".

i've known people who worked there, reusing bearings, rings, and other parts that most of us would automatically replace while opening up an engine is an all too common occurance.

my buddy had a 4.0 in his Grand Cherokee.... actually 7 of them (all replaced under warranty) rebuilt by Jasper in an 18 month period. all stock daily driver GC, that occasionally pulls an 8' utility trailer. finally got tired of their crap and after installing engine #7 traded it on a Lincoln LS.
