Half/Tube Door pics thread

I am looking into making some half doors. Lets see your designs so post some pics. A picture of the latch would be helpful as well if you have one. Thanks

I've got pics on my webpage showing how I did my half doors. They're not the prettiest things, but do the job.

The upper top edge of the door is a 2x3 tube. I covered that with an wrap over door panel that was then riveted in between the outside of the tube and the door skin. I had also put some padding under the fabric which makes it a lot more comfortable as an arm rest.

Here are mine. I relocated the Door handles and remade the innerds to work with the new outside handle. I did not setup the inside handles. The metal is realy thin and hard to weld. I used Bondo to smooth them out. They turned out ok. They are definately not for a show truck, but they work for this.

I will try and get more pictures taken today since we are planning on working on the doors. I will try and get a picture of the latch we are going to use.
I plan on keeping the lock so people can't just come take the doors off, you would think people would leave them alone but I don't want anyone steeling them after all the work we have put into them.

Wayne (Rotozuk) has my fiberglass half door molds, popped from a stock door with a Wrangler cut to it, uses the facory hinges but never designed the latch. Maybe he'll post up some pics...

Here is what they look like as of today, Patrick is going to help his Grandpa tomorrow so maybe his Grandpa can help him with the bodywork and we can get them painted next weekend.

Here is what I did for the door handle. I saw it over on Zuhharrie board and thought it was a good idea and simple. We plan on adding some weld to the top of the button then round it smooth. By using the bolt we can take it off if we need to.

Here are mine. They use the stock inner latch and are filled with styrofoam sheets and a few squirts of expando-foam.
