Hey guys, I just got an '88 Sami and was wondering what all I need to do to relocate the leafs to the top of the axles. I am working on a very very tight budget and cannot afford to buy any type of after market stuff, lift kit, coil over etc....I am trying to get a decent lift for some 33's. Any suggestions? I am also in need of some fender flares (listed in wanted section), and a 35X12.5 tire. I do not care what shape the tire is in as long as it holds air.

stay away from 33 inch tires with sammy axles unless you real easy on the skinny pedal..put 31 and ride till the cows come home:) but that is my 2 cents

Shit can the flare's they just get rubbed off on the rock's grind the spot weld's and take the flange's off. as fare as 33'son sammi axle's take some spare's. Any 4x4 part's place or hot rod shop will have spring perch's.On my red truck I spent about 50 buck's to do the spring over but I work in a jeep shop so there's allways part's left over from the heep's

There seem to be a lot of new zuk owners on here asking the same questions about what type of lift, gears, etc that they should use. If I were you I would take a look at the threads on the first few pages from folks like yourself asking the same thing. There's already a lot of good information out there and these questions have been answered dozens of times already.

Thanks for all the help guys, I will put on some 31's and buy the 4" pad. Wish I was closer to you hoppa, I will keep the flares in mind. I still need a 35" tire if anyone has one.

I wasn't being an asshole I was stating the obvious. My comment was in no way derogatory towards you and I don't flame newbies just for kicks like some folks.

Did you even try to look for an answer before posting up? Tell you what, go back and look at the threads that I and others have posted on this topic just in the last week and tell me if I'm out of line. Maybe you're the one being an asshole  See you on the trail.

Read these before you pop off newbie. These were on page one or two when you posted up

Wow, some people get upset at things easily. Sorry. I was posting my question simply because I wanted to lift the Zuki AND I wanted to plug the fact I was looking for some parts. The wanted ads are not read by all and I guess this was my way of networking. Anyway...no harm, no foul. Still need a 35" tire.

I'm okay with you plugging parts or asking questions, I just don't like being called an asshole.

Enough of that, let's move on with life. If you're looking for flares I know where I can find some used bushwackers (5" flare I think like Trail Tough sells) for $80 or I can probably find some stock plastic ones off an early model. You're kind of far away so maybe you can find some parts local. If not let me know.
