My front 10 bolt started making a screeching noise the other day, and when I got home I had differential grease leaking out the drivers side of the axle? Anyone have this happen before?? I was wondering what to expected when I pull of the diff cover... major repairs??? Just a seal???? What do you guys think??

Pull the cover. The least you can expect is a shot driver's side seal and the pass side seal needing replacement as well. As to the screeching-if it is because of lack-a-lube, you can expect some carnage. My guess is from a pinion bearin' getting hot.

are you talking about the front axel?
is it coming out of the end of the axel tube dumping on your knuckle?
i had somthing similiar happen if so, i had about 5k on a rebuild and the new bearing failed, shavings wasted the seal and all the weight was on the locking hub and stub shaft. i live on a windy road and i felt the bearing break and drove on it for only maybe 10 miles to get it home. final tally of broken parts once i got into it:
1 used stub shaft cause splines on end were wasted coned out
1 new u joint
1 new seal
1 new set of wheel bearings
1 new large bearing spindel with hardware (cracked from heat and weight)
1 new set of locking hubs couldnt find used (so i have one spare now)
all and all i spent almost 400 bucks of course this can be done for less but i didnt have time to go to junk yard to track stuff down needed to get to work on monday. good luck
