C-6, or 435 most likely, but a T-18 is also possible.

i know a guy selling a ford granny 4 spd out of 79 F250 4x4 for $150...think its a T-18???

As previously noted ..could be T-18 or NP-435. The former has steel tranny cover and the latter, an aluminum top cover. Both are grannys and both are great trannys but the 435 has a deeper first gear ratio.

Except hte np435 was made by aliens.. they built it to be pillaged by jeep folk in some sort of twisted plot to take over the world. If you find an old ford np435 and use it in your jeep, you will only be catering to their evil plot!! Don't do it!! resist!!
