I am planning on putting a set of Michelin XL 11.00-16s on my 94 Cummins in a month or two. Getting them to fit is not a problem. :D
While researching the tire, I noted that there is a 50/50 split among people using that tire who are using balance beads and other mechanisms for vibration reduction and those using nothing at all and not having any noticable problems. I am curious what people who have really large tires on their trucks recommend for use for vibration reduction.

Ignore just about anything to do with large offroad or balloon tires when dealing with the Michelins. They are not the cheap construction of Interco tires, they are heavy duty commercial/military grade tires made to carry weight, not flex over rocks and stuff. Most cases they balance out well with normal methods. I'd spin balance them and see how far they are off and ride them for a bit. Most are happy with leaving them alone. Note that they are heavy tires and will require more weight to balance them if you do decide to go that route. It's not because they are so far out of balance, just that it normally requires more weight to balance heavy tires then lighter ones. For what it's worth, most of the M715 guys (like me) are running them on the factory split rims so balancing isn't really an option and I haven't heard anything but good stuff about them. This info may not apply to the larger tires used on the Deuce, 5 tons, and HEMMTs.

Yeah, these are not even in the same league as Interco tires and that is all I run.... A good friend of mine has a set xml's on his dodge with way to much lift...Over 12 inches and that truck rides alot better then most of the every day 4x4's I have ridden in. Now they are a lot harder then light truck tires are so you will feel a little bit more when ya plow through a pot hole, but all in all, I would have to say that they are awsome tires.
