How much lift is needed to clear 38's on a 1970 Blazer? Cutting is an option that will probally be taken due to the amount of exsiting body damage.

I have a 4" lift (more like 3 in the rear) and still rub a bit (after trimming front and rear and moving the rear axle 1" back) w/ 36x12.5 TSL's on 15x10 3.5"BS wheels. I think it could be done w/ 4" or less but would require some more trimming. I plan on my next tires being 38's...but my 36's are new and I don't have a D60 yet.

I see you got your knuckles today.....was everything in 1 piece?

I would say 4-6 in with moderate trimming......should go 6 so you can do the X-over steering also......:p :D

My friend has a 81 chev with a 8" lift and a 3" body and I think he even has to do a little fender cutting with 38's so u could get away with a 6-8" lift and a little fender cutting.

the fender openings on those chevys is really small how much trimming are you willing to do? with a good amount of trimming 4 inches will be enuff. 6 inches if you just wanna wack a little and for very little trimming you will need 8. also depends how wide you are going and what kind of wheeling you do

here is my :rainbow: poser shot. You can see that the front fender has been cut right behind where the bumper should be. Also you can see that the rear tire contacts the fender hard enough to rip out the front brace. This truck had 4" Skyjacker front springs and a shackle reversal in the rear, and a 3" Body lift.

If I would have trimmed the fenders just a little it would have solved all my problems with fender interferance. Insead I did this...

Now I dont have to worry about fender clearance too much :D

at least 6" and a body lift, you may need to trim the rear of the front fender

This is what 44's and 10+3 look like. 12+3 in the back

Granted, this is a bit different body style, but.....

This is a '74 with later front clip. Running 4" springs in front, shackle flip in the rear with flat National springs and a 2" block. Lots of fender trimming running 40's. The major reason for the fender trimming was to clear under full flex which this thing does pretty well.

Hope that helps
