Hey,
I swaped my 86 GMC from auto to manual last year and was wondering what is needed to switch from the net. saftey switch to a clutch interlock switch.

Also can i wire in my back up lights through my old wires?
Can't find any decent diagrams.

yellow and purple are the safety start wires

what manual trans you have ?

4 speed toploader switch is in the top of the tranny

auto and three on the tree switches are on the column,

i always paper clip or spade terminal jump these wires together when i convert,

but each to their own

Tranny is a SM465 with an NP205.Had a 700r4.
So i can take these 2 wires and splice them through my clutch switch?
Or can i just run a main ign. wire through the clutch switch?

Should i be able to wire in reverse lights through wires from old switch?
