Anyone on here have this? I am working on swapping scout 44's and this looks like it would work quite well...

Well if I remember scouts are not fullwidth but you need to outboard your springs a little with them...the kit maybe a little too much but I am not positive:D

well the site lists the scout axles as ones that work.. regardless of the WMS to WMS width compared to say a fullsize truck axle, I think the SP to SP width is the same 31.25"

i wouldn't buy the avalanche kit unless you have a torch welder and a grinder. Mine was anything but bolt on the whole project took about 20 hours to just get it all in place. this is not to discourage you but just to let you know because they sell it as "bolt on" and it aint

I went with the outboard kit because i was under serious time constraints and didnt have time to build a homebrew outboard kit!
the whole kit took 2 hours start to finish to install. (i dont know what happened to the other guy!)
the sweetest part about the kit is the ability to move the rear shackles in about 10 different positions(for and aft) you will be able to run different springs and move the shackle forward or backward as your springs settle! I got mine for about $300 which was an introductory price and because they didnt have any instalation instructins. If you are a good fabricator you can build it yourself for about $50 in steel plus time. I didnt have the time or the skills so it was a good option for me!
I can email pics of mine if you want

it is not bolt on though you must weld a large plate horizontally to the frame

And a side note of Taft's Jeep... that kit looks sweet! That's why I took pictures of it and made one for myself :D Making it yourself does take time but in the long run, I know I made it myself and I guess I take pride in that. It all depends on what situations best for you.

Taft, the only thing I would worry about is who you got to do your welding

:flipoff2:

Whose the good looking fawker welding on the other side? Teaching today, no time to play. Oh and definitely worth the money.
Later,
Jim

FAWKKK!!! Dude stop drinking and get welding. It took about 3-4 hours to remove all the old stuff, and less than 2 hours to put the new stuff on. Definitely a nice kit and well worth the money.

 This made the whole outboard springs vs narrowing the axle a easy descision :)

oh, and I would drive the 4 hours (new jerseu) to get the pieces welded.. I would visit my friend at the same time :) I got my "cage" welded up by this place called race specialties. They hand build drag car chassis, the welding skills are
