Ok , time to build the Willys PU
Here's the plan
Suspension: Rear SOA w/ Stock main leafs, and a hybrid pack/ front SOA on SII front mains w/ hybrid packs
Engine: CPI 4.3 from 94? blazer, w/ stock, un thinned harness
Trans+Transfer: 4L60 from same, mated to stock junk 231? case, w/ a divorced 300 behind it.
Axles: D53 rear or D60-2 rear(till I get the 70's), depending/ D44 front (temporary till I get the 70's)
Questions
1.) will the stock harness work w/o fawking with for the 4.3 and the trans ?? (searched the hell outa it but never really got a streight answer, not too sure how the electric control works on the 4L60, havent got the blazer yet to look at it)
2.) Will the divorced 300 work ok w/o a addidtional bearng in front ?? (The 300 will be connected to the 231 by a shaft made from the slip yoke that was on the 231 and the output shaft from a t5 to d300, the d300 will be rigidly mounted to the 231, not to the frame to maintain alignment of the connector shaft )
3.) In the above setup, I am planning or running a PTO off of the front output of the 231, As long as I only use it w/ the 231 in low and the 300 in N, will the 231 take this???? (running a PTO winch from a W300, Will have a warn 8K electric mounted in back)
4.) Has anyone made a dummy idler to replace the power steering pump since I am not going to use it right away, (waiting for some dodge 70's and the forklift orbital valve)
Whattya think, anything that I missed ?? (I know about the weak
ass steering , but that is just gunna havet to do for now)
BTW, it is gunna roll on some tired ass 35's for now, but aiiming for 37's after the axle upgrade.
