Hey does anyone out there have any pics of the front fenders on that truck? Would like to see how much was trimmed and where. Thanks for any help.

search the Peterson's and Offroad website, and Diesel Power Mag.

I don't know where you are located but I believe the primedia offices are on/just off of Wilshire in LA. You might be able to have a look in person. I have seen the Ultimate SD in person a few times down there and it is damn cool in person. I saw it on the 46s I think right after the Ultimate Adventure in Westwood and damn near started jumping around like a teenage girl at a Justin Timberlake concert. But anyway, that probably didn't help but just thought I would share.

we could fit 45" firestones with no trouble on my SDuty when it was only lifted 8" and we only cut enought (2 inches or so) for the Bushwacker cutouts.

I already ahve all the pics from petersons and diesel power and it was some help but not alot. I live in vegas so LA wouldnt be to far. Basically I have the same truck but just leveled and I just finished building the rock sliders. Now I dont want to run 46 inch tires. I have a set of michelin xml 11.00 16R which is 38" inches tall and 11" wide. I would do the bushwackers for the front but its a narrow tire and would probally look really gay having a fender that sticks 4 inchs away from the tire thats so narrow. Now I know everyone says just get a bigger lift to help clear them. Well its really scare already trying to load my six pac cabover camper on the truck!! I know the bumper will have to be trimmed or get a new one and big bump stops will be needed so I dont destroy the fenders. So if i did some good trimming I think it would turn out pretty sweet. Anyone have any suggestions??

8" of lift will clear 38s with no problem, no trimming involved. When we lowered my wife's truck to pass inspection, we dropped it to 6" of lift and I still have 38's with plenty of room to run 42s. I'm not sure I'd want to tote a slide in with any significant lift, due to creating a top heavy vehicle that won't handle well in emergency situations. And they will come up. Just because you have a lifted truck doesn't mean people won't still pull out in front of you. As far as trying to keep the leveling kit and running 38's. It's not impossible, but I wouldn't do it. You'll either end up with Bushwacker cutouts or Hanneman fenders, both of which will really be too wide to maintain the look you are going for. You're only other real option at this point is to look into creating some hybrid tube fenders to incorporate the cut sheetmetal, but the inner fenderwell is going to give you trouble. You're probably looking at something extremely custom.

the back will have the tube stuff going on but the front I dont want to do tube. After looking at whats on the back of the plastic inner fender the computer is about half way up so I will probally have to cut the bottom of the plastic and play with back spacing alot. Im thinking the front is really the only the hard part. Well Ill get some pics up when I start and well see if i will have to buy new fenders.

I am running 12.5R20s on my SD with only a leveling kit and cutouts. The cutouts stick out exactly as wide as the tires. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

There was a ton of trimming/banging done on the front of the Ultimate SD but not enough to get into the computer stuff. There was a substantial amount of trimming done in the rear too.

The USD front axle was built a couple inches wider than stock and uptravel was severely limited from what I remember. Those big Michelins still rubbed alot.

I'd just throw a jack under the front and lift it to mimick the leveling kit, throw the tires up in there on skinny rims and take a look-see.
