Standard or Pro Gold Series? Opinions?

(search done with minimal results )

Going into '97 TJ, 4.0, Atlas 4.3 (if it makes any difference)

www.dialaclutch.com seems to have the best prices.

go with the super duper clutch plate and standard pressure plate if you can.

Gold series on the Pressure plate, Standard on the disc if you can. (If it comes with) the ceramic button style disc, it will chatter on you after a while. This disc was primarily made for heavy duty towing on heavy 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks. (and bigger, of course).
Call LUK clutch directly and they can give you the lowdown on their recommendations.

Check out "Carolina Clutch & Performance" at (888) 462-2739. They have a better price on the 05-901 (TJ 4.0 ProGold); $232.20 versus $269.00 at dialaclutch.

FYI, according to the techs at LuK, you can machine a TJ's phunky "parabolic" (or whatever the hell it is) flywheel flat ... just don't machine much off due to the hydraulic clutch. I just picked up mine from the machine shop yesterday. After 90k+ HARD miles, they only had to machine off about 0.005".
