What size ram would I need to use for hydro assist on this truck? I have a stock saginaw pump, stock Ram steering box, and a D60 front about to go in. I'm just going to tap the stock box and run the lines w/ an inline filter. I have a 2.5"x8"x1.125" that I am/was going to sell with the orbital valve I have. I was planning on full hydro on my last truck and never got to it. But I was wondering what size I'm going to need, and I don't want to sell something that I'm going to have to buy again.
Thanks mang...
I'm running 1 3/4" -- good power, could be faster at idle/

I am using a 2" X 8" on my Ramcharger. I think a 1.5" X 8" would work better for my application.

Thanks for the help guys. I kind of just wanted to be totally sure before I sold this ram I have now. I think I'll probably go with 8x1.5

Yeah man, The bigger rams have gnarly power over idle, but they are really slow turning at idle... I would say 8x1.5 That will still have good power for ya and still have good idle flow too...

Yea. I need to go with a good mix of power, speed, and cheap. :flipoff2:

Well, I was actually making sure I was doing the right thing in selling the 2.5" ram. I will probably go 1.5", but not yet. I don't even have the truck together yet...
Why? You got something to sell me? hehe
