I have a 99 or 2000 XJ RC D-30. Complete hub to hub , uses the 297X ujoints and no axle disconnect to replace my gettign old 97 D30 in my TJ. Dont need to hear the go D44.... go D60... and all that crap... been there heard it. understand it... understand this :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

soooo....anywho's

anyone see any potential problems in bolting this thing up. Any differneces in the TJ and XJ axil besides the RC? Spring mount plates in diffenent places... or same place? Are the Controll arm mounts in the same configeration as TJ? Sway bar disco's or Track Arm mount differences?

I'm almost positive that they are identicle... I'm just wondering if the trackbar mount is different or not, but I'm almost sure it is the same.

The only thing I could think of, is that the castor could be off. Just an idea.

Caster.. hmm good point.. will check.

Keep it comming folk.

Why.. its cheaper than a modified 44 and 20% stroger than what I got.

if you have a 97 TJ the u-joints are the same 297X not any stronger.... the axles are identical

Yes this has been stated...the axil shafts and UJoints are Identical. The gear set is stronger.

So out of this I also get spares....

Unbolt, bolt in, bleed brakes.

WOW, a couple of weeks ago I read RC gears were 15 percent stronger. Now they are 20 percent stronger. Does the strength improve with age ;)

Before you bolt it in, why not reinforce all the control arm mounts? it would be alot easier off the vehicle than on.

Why bleed the brakes? I don't think he's planning on using XJ calipers:flipoff2:

Good question. They may be bigger since it is a heavier rig. If that's what Seth was getting at I apoligize:smokin:
