I had an alignment done on my truck and was told that my ball joints have a bunch of play in them as well as my steering, they said that they were both going out, I was pretty pissed off being that the truck only has 19,000 miles on it, so I took it down to dodge to get it checked out under warranty and they said that all the play is within factory specs...Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a bunch play with the 3rd generation dodge ball joints? I want to make sure so if they really are bad I can get the warranty to pay for them it expires on sept 1 2006 so time is running out.

The factory spec is either .030 or .031 of an inch on both upper and lower balljoints.
