A local scrap yard is trying to get 350 bucks out of me. I figured know more than 100, maybe 150 because there everywhere but maybe i'm wrong. Any thoughts???

I bought mine for $80. I see them mostly sell for $100-150, so you're right. If it was a CUCV 14 bolt with 4.56's and a Detroit, then for $350, go ahead and get it.

the junk yards around here are crazy. they would want 800 for it. It is normally cheaper to find a complete truck sitting beside someones house and buy the whole thing for a couple hundred dollars. I would call around to many yards in your area to get a better idea of what they are going for locally. CUCV rear around here for 500 to 800. The local military yard asks 800 each for them.

$80-120 is the going rate for a decent one.

Alright I found a PNP that's got them for 95 bucks. I just have to decide which one I want. Actually now i'm thinking of tossing a 9 inch under my truck instead for ground clearance. I never plan on anything more than 35's and 31 spline 9 inch should handle that. I hate making decisions.

Around here anywheres from 100. to 500. depending on what you want and what it is out of. Your standard 14b out of say a 3/4 ton 100. If you want one out of a 1 ton dually that has 4.56s and is complete with brake cable that has not been hacked and brake lines that have not been cut you will pay close to 500, u-bolts and plates included.

Some will still have the shocks and maybe rims on them.

I got mine for 200, but the local ass-raping pick-n-pull wants 500 :barf:  On top of that rediculus price they tried to tell me that they dont have very many because that rear end is week and wears out quickly, and that the 12 bolt is the strongest rear end made. :shaking: I left there very quick befor I got into an argument or became dumber from listening to this dumb ass

So what type of rig do they come in? And is the Detroit come stock? And how the hell could a 12 bolt be stronger then a 14, doesnt make any sence. Does anyone have any info on unimog axles.
