I am currently looking intoswapping in a chevy 350 for my jeep. I need to know what years and models of trucks or blazers that I can get a 350 out of. I dont want any fuel injection or emission bullsh*t. I want a simple engine let me know

Pre 87 for Blazers an for trucks I'd guess around the same time.
Befor tha it was all carbed. I'm not sure on emissions stuff so maybe someone else can comment on that.

I'd say 85 under....If it doesn't have AOD tranny it should be what you want.....

Unless it's pre-81 you'll need a different HEI distributor.
Stay away from ASC (Automatic Spark Control) ignition.
The way to tell is there's an extra set of wires coming out at the base of the cap tward the rear of the distributor.

If you are pulling from a blazer, jimmy, or suburban you need 1985 or older. 1986 was when they switched to tbi.

i would go to your local junk yard and pull any pre 1973 4 bolt 010/020 block from a either a pickup of blazer. try amd find one with 010 and 020 numbers cast either right above the fule pump or where the belhousing would be. its just means that the block will probley be 4bolt mains and it has nickel and tin added into the casting, to make for a super strong buildup
