Once again I have searched and I didn't find what I was looking for. I am looking for setup that I can use for rocks and hill climbs. I go to the Badlands a lot in Attica, IN so if that gives anyone an idea if what I will be doing. This is for a 79 Bronc.
Thanks again,

Well, you should probably be more specific? What have you considered? Wristed arms up front? Or do you wanna go coilovers? Quarter elliptic rear? I mean, how crazy/custom are you willing to go? What's your budget? How much wheel travel would you like to achieve? Is axle wrap a major concern - big motor? Do you plan any axle swaps in the near future? For those of us who aren't familiar w/the areas you name, is it muddy? Scrambling up slippery hills, or just slow, controlled crawling? Or both... and so on..

Well i am planning on using wristed up front and regular leafs out back, but i dont know much about elliptic. I am operating on a somewhat low bugdet, college student. I am running a 400 but a possible 460 swap but that is a furture plan, as well as dual d60. As for the terrain its and old mining area and it it muddy, sandy, just a little of everything but they have a big quarry. these are mostly wooded trails with rocks and hills through out them. This is a trail only so it doesn't have to be able to take high speeds or anything like that.
Bronc_crwlr:question:
what do want to know ?
you already have a good set up just wrist a front arm get some new shocks for the extra travel and go .
any thing other than that its goin to cost ya

If I were you for the rear, I would use some F150 springs. They are soft, but still work great on the street. Call Mike Ladd about everything you can imagine with the bronco. His # is 530-342-3003

F150 springs of what year? I'd imagine that the '78/'79 F150 and Bronco rear springs would be nearly identical, if not the F150 being even stiffer for workload reasons?

Oops fogot you had the 79. I would say inboard the rears a bit. That will give you the flex you want, and still have the control you want for the road.

if done right, you can get as much travel out of the wristed arm front, flexy leaf rear as you will ever want. throw some 9012s on there and you're good to go.

what type of coils should i use and still be able to clear 37" boggers? Will the Wild Horse Crawler's work? and what should I use for the rear? coil over or regular leafs?
