i broke a yoke recently... d60 538r&p 1310 ujoint
the problem is the threads are chewed up on the pinion from the driveshaft ears....and i cant get a pinion nut back on
i was thinking that i should use a die to clean up threads but not sure what size i need...its at least an inch
anyone know what size die for a dana 60 538 pinion? i dont want to screw it up anymore
the nut is 1 5/16 i believe...
any help appreciated
want to wheel this weekend dammit

try to find a thread file from northern tool or maybe your hardware store. It will have about 8 differant threads per inch on it. Cheap and real handy to keep in the tool box.

edit: they are all over ebay for around $5

Thread file would be my first choice as well. The die is going to cost you an arm and a leg if you can even find one.
