Anyone got a connection for remanufactured motors. I have found http://www.jasperengines.com/frames.html but that's it.
It's for a 94 NISSAN pickup. 2.4 LITER 4 CYL
Jasper want's $2880.00!!!
I was hoping for more like $1200 or so.
Any names or links appreciated!

Matt,
On the '94 was it a KA24 (single cam) or KA24DE? (twin cam), either way you can find folks who have pulled them to install a SR20DET motor.
Also the '94 had the VG30 (V6) motor's. Nice torque motors at lower rpm.
Usually for Japanese engines, I've had good luck with the used engine importers (cars are scraped in Japan with low mileage... sometimes just cheaper to get an imported engine than rebuild yours).
What happened to the motor? My 240SX snapped a camshaft, but that was after 220,000 hard miles. Found a wrecking yard motor (80K miles) for $500 (great deal).

Have you looked into the used engines from Japan?
In Japan you must scrap your car/truck after something like 60K. This makes for ton of good used engines.

Thanks guys!! It's someone I work with. It as 224,000+ on it. It threw a rod. It's fun to rev up and watch the neighbors flock to their front doors trying to figure out what the hell the sound is.
I need to just drop a new one in and get it out of my driveway.

FYI the KA24 FWD motors do NOT bolt up. Slight variation on the engine to tranny mounting flange.
With 224K miles on it, hard resell even with a running motor.... might be easier to sell as a "mechanics special". At this point
I think that is only way I'll ever get rid of my spare Toyota Land Cruiser engine... so I watch the papers for a "blown engine special!"
