Heres the problem-- 96 XJ I-6 Auto, 202000 miles have had it for 5k miles-- drove it Monday afternoon- just fine (however it has been running hot lately)--parked it, went to move it about 10PM just cranked.
Tuesday- checked, no spark-- Checked Dist --dry, everything looks fine., Also checked to make sure the shaft turns while cranking.
Put on a new Ignition Coil Wed. -- still doesnt start
Checked Fuel pressure-- First disconnected line-- no fuel, only residual when disconnected. Second borrowed pressure gauge-- hooked up-- reads nothing cranking, or key on.
Checked spark again- borrowed spark tester-- removed plug wire, hooked to tester, grounded tester-- no spark. Checked the Coil wire coming from the Ignition coil-- no spark.
Chevy Tech buddy said it is prob the Ignition Control Module (ICM). Okay fine-- However to my limited knowledge this vehicle does not have an ICM. Am I correct there?? Another guy told me to check the relay center in engine compartment-- relay labled ASD (or something like that), and swap that with another smae numbered realy--did that -- still nothing.
Another guy made referance to the Crank Position Sensor-- havent looked into that yet.
Does anyone have a clue what would control both the fuel and spark and prevent it from starting??
Anyone????
I'm at a loss for ideas now

Is anything getting power? Maybe a blown fuse or fuseable link-you need to check for power at the coil and at the fuel pump, etc.
