My 93 is giving me troubles with my internal slave setup. I think it's bled all the way since the pedal is stiff but the clutch won't disengage all the damn way. I just need to know if the stock master is big enough to work or am I going to have to swap it for something larger. I would like to see some other peoples experience.

my 89 b2 with a np435 and external slave, would kinda work.. ended up that the clutch pedel was hitting the floor, so we cut and re welded it for more stroke. Works good now

I had a 84' with a mazda R-2 swapped in it, and used slave setup from the f-150 donor truck, and the orriginal master from the BII. worked just fine.

Anyone know the stock bore on a 93 ranger master? All the slaves are the same which is what is baffling me. A full size master has the same stroke but a larger bore I'm guessing because I'm so close to being able to shift the truck but it still won't go. The truck will sit if i start it in gear but it won't shift without some serious force or RPM matching when going.
I'm looking at getting a tilton master cylinder and adapting it to work. They have the same stroke but I can get a larger bore. I tried measuring the Ranger one and it was about .8" but could have been .75" I'm not sure it was hard to do. I think a .875" master will make a big difference since it is a direct squared relationship as to the amount of fluid it will push.

I know there are more mofos out there that have done the 302 in a ranger swap. Damn I need to see some setups.

the fullsize master pushes straight, the ranger, pushes on an angel, so your loosing stroke there. See if your bottoming out the clutch pedel before your bottoming out the stroke of the master. We had to cut and move my clutch pedel to get more travel. works good now.

I've tried putting the rod on the pedal so it bottoms it out all the way and it still had no effect. I measured a fullsize master today and it seems to be about 1/10" bigger bore. The stroke is the same just about.

well i did everthing i could and finaly had someone else look at it and thats what they suggested. And it worked. Check out napa online for the bore sizes. My masters and slaves where both the same bores, so it ended up being the stroke.

little bro is running a stock '87 ranger master pushing the slave in his zf, same one was being used on the 435 before the zf swap
