In May of 2000, the New Hampshire State Legislature passed a reolsution
a section of which asked for Fee Demo to not be implemented in New
Hampshire. And now, two years later on April 11, the New Hampshire
Legislature has stepped up its position and passed a new stand-alone
resolution asking Congress to abolish Fee Demo.
The New Hampshire House of Representatives passed the resolution
overwhelmingly on a voice vote, and the New Hampshire Senate passed the
resolution unanimously.
And now, on Wednesday, April 24, the Colorado State Legislature is
poised to vote on a strongly-worded resolution also asking Congress to
abolish Fee Demo. This resolution comes after nine counties and two
cities in Colorado have passed resolutions opposing Fee Demo. The most
recent county to oppose Fee Demo was La Plata, unanimously passing its
resolution on April 8.
Colorado is now poised to join the ranks of California, Oregon, and New
Hampshire in asking Congress to end Fee Demo, as well as the numerous
counties in Oregon and California that have passed resolutions opposing
Fee Demo.

Momentum is clearly building within the camp opposed to Fee Demo. Help
push our efforts over the top by taking part in the National Day of
Action scheduled for June 15.
