bigjeepinYJ 04-23-2002, 04:03 PM Man...The only thing that I see wrong with those is all the bolts. Man I cant wait to tighten 18 bolt on my AE locks. But I could imagine tightening that many!!! Just a thought. Anyone have any problems?
Jeepskickass 04-23-2002, 04:07 PM Yellowsub has 36 bolt MRTs. No problems, it just take a hellofa long time to mount tires!
sjb83cj 04-23-2002, 06:15 PM Are you serious about Thursday, I ordered some 5 weeks ago but mine are 8 lug and I’m in Arkansas..... but I just about can’t wait any longer:(  :flipoff2:

took me almost 3.5 hour to mount 4 tires on the rims (not including putting them on the truck) but I must have done something right, since I haven't lost any noticable (abnormal) amount of air in the past year, including 8 months of sitting untouched in the drive way.... just took my time and torqued them in 5lb increments, in an even pattern, and went around 3 full times after the 15lb spec was reached ..... Mike if you need someone to drink all your beer while you mount the tires - call me :D
or just bring it all over here and I'll drink my own beer :flipoff2:

I'm not special ordering anything, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. But even with a special offset or bolt pattern, they are claiming that they can deliver in 2 weeks.
Sloan 04-24-2002, 12:17 AM I was wondering what the difference is between the 18s and the 36 bolt wheels?
tonto 04-24-2002, 01:08 AM Hey how much does all the hardware weigh?
Can you balance those bead locks?
If you don't mind, what ya pay for em?
I was thinking of getting a set from them, haven’t talked to them yet, but I saw a set on Dennis's E.B. and the Fab Ford show at knotts Berry Farm.
coiledbj42 04-24-2002, 01:36 AM Sloan,
About 18 bolts per wheel!:flipoff2:

I don't know the weight, but my 36B MRT with 37x13 boggers balanced as good as my 35" generals on chrome mods ever did....just take your time and center the wheelin the tire and follow the torque pattern in small increments, too much in on cycle will "push" the tire off center...

They ran out of 8 lug centers a while ago, so they are waiting on the machine shop to stamp them out again
fj40charles 04-24-2002, 02:13 PM They guys that used to work at MRT now make these allied wheels. I got a postcard from Lloyd.
