He sent me an AX-5 [THAT HE CLAIMED WAS GOOD] that poured out a water/oil blend when it was drained the rest of the way (it had been run for some time like that). 5th gear was also off.

He was asking $300 obo, but charged me $445 and later admitted that shipping was only $95. Oddly enough, I also had to pay shipping (another $95) when I picked it up...:confused:

I called offering for him to buy it back, but he has not returned any of my calls for weeks...so, here you go!!!

For some clarification, the above trans was supposed to be swapped into a jeep at our shop for General Lee.

I went to swap input bearing retainers, and out came the tell tale milkshake fluid. The outer seal of the input bearing was rippled from heat as the input bearing was way worn.

Opon deeper inspection the snap ring from the 5th gear assembly was laying in the bottom of the case, and 5th gear fell off the shaft as soon as I opened it.

Doesn't sound like a good condition $300 AX-5 to me :shaking:
